The School of Social Work Alumni Association works to support the relationship between the SSW and its alumni by providing continuing education, direct support to students, and outreach to alumni.
We are a membership organization comprised of alumni of the School of Social Work and friends of the School, our activities are focused in two main areas:
Student Support
Each year, the Alumni Association supports social work students by providing:
- Annual Outstanding Graduating Student Award honoring a student who has exceeded the requirements of his/her educational program.
- Four annual book scholarships to reduce the burden of necessary text books, a difficult expense for incoming students. To donate to the book scholarship fund, click here.
- Support to student organizations and events throughout the year.
Continuing Education Event Series
The Alumni Association provides social work professionals with low-cost, continuing education opportunities. We are revising our continuing education calendar – please watch the SSW Calendar for upcoming seminars. If you are interested in presenting or if you would like to get email alerts about events, please contact us. (The nominal cost of attending continuing education events goes directly into the book scholarship fund!).
