Research and Initiatives

Research

The School of Social Work hosts a broad range of research activities, from large-scale grant-supported projects to smaller faculty-directed and student-directed studies. Most (but not all) grant-supported projects are managed within one of the affiliated research units:

In addition, faculty and students conduct their own studies or collaborate with other professionals and organizations within and beyond Portland State University.

Initiatives

The School of Social Work has a series of web pages that focus on special initiatives or topics. Formerly known as "Focus Topics", these web pages reflect the work and expertise of our faculty and can be freely used by course instructors as material for their classes. A list of available links is shown under "Initiatives" at left.
