Faculty, Field Instructors and Staff
The faculty, staff, and field instructors of the School of Social Work join with students, leading practitioners, and community stakeholders to address social needs and bring about social change. Our research and service makes a real difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities. Together we break new ground by addressing intractable or emerging social problems, by collaborating with our community partners in the design of practice strategies and programs to address these problems, and then by evaluating the outcomes of our interventions.
Our faculty’s research initiatives have attracted support from some of the nation’s most respected funders, including the National Institutes of Health, the W. T. Grant Foundation, and the Ford Foundation. Our faculty and students have also been awarded Fulbright Fellowships from the U. S. Department of State to engage in international learning and teaching opportunities including travel to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Latvia, Sweden, and the Middle East.
